The vines are grown in the Albert Mountains, on deep granite and gneiss "Gneiss" soils. The grapes are whole bunches (grape antilles) without crushing or destemming, and are macerated for 7 days in stainless steel tanks. They are then aged for 1 month in demi-muid barrels.

The color is a vivid ruby. The aroma of red berries is complemented by the pleasant spiciness of Syrah. The juicy plum-like fruitiness spreads throughout the mouth, supported by minerals and acidity, giving the wine a refreshing feel. It is extremely difficult to produce such a cool wine in Roussillon! This wine is truly the epitome of Jean-François Nic's work. Its clarity makes it easy to drink, and it's easy to drink!

This cuvée is Jean-François Nick's "mirror of the vintage" and is the earliest to be released. It was named "Octobre" because it was released in October in France. Incidentally, the name of the Fleur Rouge wine is inspired by the title of a movie: "The Hunt for Red October," released in 1990.

This is a popular bottle every year as it reflects the taste of each vintage. It is an excellent wine that far surpasses the quality of en primeur wines.
