Shizuoka Single Malt UNITED S First Edition

As the successor to Shizuoka Distillery's third product, "Contact S," this is a blend of raw spirits from stills W and K. The different characteristics of the raw spirits from the two stills are harmoniously combined to create a flavor that is unique to Shizuoka Distillery.

At Shizuoka Distillery, we use two primary stills, K and W, to produce two different types of whiskeys with different characteristics. The "S Series" is a single malt that is a blend of both types of whiskeys.

The "S" in the product name not only indicates that it is the successor to Contact S, but also stands for Shizuoka, Spirits, Single Malt, and Sphere (celestial sphere).

"United" represents a further evolution, with the two spirits that first encountered in "Contact" blending in harmony.

Its smooth and balanced taste can be likened to a sphere.
The fruity and light raw spirit from the steam-heated still K makes up the upper half of the ball, while the heavy and powerful raw spirit from the wood-fired still W supports the lower half.

The ingredients are mainly Japanese barley malt, as well as Scottish non-peated malt, peated malt and beer malt.

The aging barrels used are primarily first-fill bourbon barrels, but also wine barrels.

Going forward, the Shizuoka Distillery's flagship product will be the "S Series," which skillfully combines the raw spirits from these two distilleries.

This commemorative first edition, "United S First Edition," is a must-try as a benchmark for single malt Shizuoka.
