Saint Romain Rouge Sous Roche Qvevris 2020

Harvest date is September 4th and 5th, 2020. Yield is 35hL/ha.
As the name of the plot suggests, Sous Roche has a thick layer of limestone just below the thin surface soil. The field area is 1.2ha. Natural yeast is used for fermentation. Aged for 12 months in Georgian Qvevri 14hL and 3 months in stainless steel tanks.

The scent of ripe dark cherries and the red fruit of grozeille overlaps with the sweet scent of praline. The wine is soft, juicy, and has a smooth texture with rich fruit, and fine-grained, delicate tannins that blend in beautifully!
