Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Champs Gains・Caroline Morey・2020

"Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Les Champs Gains" is a vineyard located in a good location on the middle slope of the central Chassagne-Montrachet 1er plot. It produces full-bodied wines that show their potential from a young age. The vines are 10 years old. Until the 2016 vintage, it was bottled at the same time as the Village class, but from 2017 it has been barrel-aged for the same period as other 1er Crus. However, while the other 1er Crus use 50% new barrels, only Champs Gains uses 1/3 new barrels. The concentrated fruit is sweet and rich. The structure is also good.
