Saint Romain Rouge Sous Roche Qvevris 2020

The harvest dates were September 4th and 5th, 2020. The yield was 35hL/ha.
Sous Roche is the name of a plot of land, and as the name suggests, a thick layer of limestone continues just below a thin layer of topsoil. The vineyard area is 1.2 hectares. Fermentation uses wild yeast. The wine is aged for 12 months in 14hL Georgian qvevri and 3 months in stainless steel tanks.

The aroma of ripe dark cherries and red berries of Groseilles is layered with a sweet praline-like aroma. The wine is soft, juicy, and rich with a smooth texture of fruit, with fine, delicate tannins that blend beautifully!
