Selected Reserve・Royal Lochnagar

Lochnagar is the only operating distillery bearing the Royal name.
It became famous as the base spirit for the blended malt "John Beck", and was later acquired by John Dewar's & Sons in 1916, and later became part of DCL (which has now grown into Diageo).
Even after becoming DCL, it continues to reign as the raw spirit for Blue Label, the top brand of Johnnie Walker, the world's best-selling Scotch whisky known to everyone, even those not just whisky enthusiasts.
This is truly a single malt whisky that lives up to the Royal name.

This old-label Selected Reserve bottle was in circulation from the early 1990s until the current design was released in 2007.
Since its release, the aroma and flavor of the good old days of sherry cask aging has been popular.
The whisky contains a particularly high proportion of first-fill sherry casks, resulting in complex flavours and an abundance of dried fruit flavours.
The reason for its popularity is its taste, which is different from current bottles, and its classic design.
