A 2 ha plot of land south of Cazel called Lec del Vi (Water of Life in the Occitane language). The altitude is 220m and the soil is clay limestone. Uses young Syrah planted in 2008. The name comes from a combination of the district name and the French pronunciation of water, O. Aromas of violets, black and blue fruits, licorice and peppery herbs. Fresh and pure fruit flavors, crystal-like acidity and minerality. The finish is so focused and elegant that you wouldn't expect it to be a young Syrah grown in a south-facing field.
