(The following is from the importer materials)
Of the 11 rudies in Echezeaux, it is built from Les Troudies, which is adjacent to the south of Grand Echezeaux. This plot also owns Mongeard Mugneret and Rouget, and the rich flavor reflects the thick topsoil. A hint of spice with a plump aroma of ripe red fruits. A silky attack followed by fleshy fruits along with vanilla and licorice. A fruitful and diplomatic Echezeaux.

Daniel Rion

Owns 18 hectares of famous fields

Founded in 1955 by Daniel Lyon. It was a small brewery that started with only 2 hectares, but after establishing a new brewery and purchasing additional fields, it now has a total of 18 hectares of fields in Vosne-Romanée, Chambord-Musigny, and Nuits-Saint-Georges. Three sons, Patrice, Christophe and Olivier, joined the family business in the late 1970s, and now daughter Pascal has also joined as a sales representative. The wines from each appellation are rich in fine, soft tannins and sweet fruit, with expressive, diplomatic and seductive aromas.

Back vintages are also managed in the best condition.
In the vineyards where most of the vines are 40 years old, organic fertilizers are used based on soil composition analysis, and the use of herbicides is minimized to prevent soil runoff, as many of the fields are on steep slopes. . When cultivating grapes, we place great importance on the balance of sugar, acid, and tannins, and are careful to limit the yield to a level commensurate with quality. Although the winery is traditional, it has modern equipment such as a gravity system to avoid putting strain on the wine during winery operations. They also have temperature control equipment in their underground cellar, and are very careful about temperature control when shipping, such as using temperature-controlled trucks but not shipping until autumn to avoid summer risks. Of course, the abundant back vintages that are taken out of the warehouse are also managed in the best possible condition.
