Montevertine, named after the winery, is a blend of carefully selected Sangiovese with a small amount of Canaiolo and Colorino, aged for 24 months in Slovenian oak. The aging and blend ratios allow it to be called a Riserva class Chianti Classico, but it does not claim this name. It is considered a second wine to the flagship Le Pergole Torte, but owner Martino says, "It's more like a sibling wine than a second, but it's not a younger brother either." It has a clear ruby ​​color and a smooth, elegant taste.
