Aged for 24 months in foudres (large barrels) and barrels. Fined using egg whites. Bottled unfiltered. The wine is a deep, carmine red with a purple hue. The aroma is powerful and elegant. Trevallon's signature white pepper and licorice emerge behind the ripe red and black fruit. The finish is smooth and lingering, with ripe tannins. It has a good balance of freshness, tannins, and richness, and is expected to age for 20 years.
