RS・Radikon・2022

This wine, named RS, stands for Sassa's Rosso (red). It is made primarily from Merlot and blended with Pignolo. Because 2014 (the first vintage) was a lean year for grapes, the Merlot was given a short maceration time and the more astringent Pignolo was added.

The next vintage after 2014 was 2017, and it has been produced every year since then. The Merlot and Pignolo grapes, harvested at different times, are harvested separately, undergo two weeks of alcoholic fermentation and maceration, and are blended after pressing. The wines are then left to rest for 12 months in large barrels, several months in stainless steel tanks, and several months in bottle before being released.
