The history of Méo Camuset began in the early 1900s with Etienne Camuset, a producer of Vosne Romanée and a member of the Côte d'Or prefectural assembly. The characteristic of this domaine is the quality and quantity of its special vineyards. It is one of the most prestigious families in Burgundy, owning four Grand Crus, Clos de Vougeot, Richebourg, Echezeaux, and Corton, and five Premier Crus, mainly in the villages of Vougeot and Vosne-Romanée.

The point of the plot owned by Meo Camuset is that it is in an outstanding location among the Grand Crus. Clos de Vougeot is located in a prime location directly below Château du Clos de Vougeot, while Echezeaux is located at the top of the vineyard. Richebourg owns 1 hectare of land in Verois, the top section. The only Grand Cru on the Côte de Beaune, Corton is a monopole located south of Le Rogne-et-Corton on the Ladois-Seligny side.
