Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Champs Gains・Caroline Morey・2020

"Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Les Champs Gains" is a vineyard located in a prime location mid-slope in the center of Chassagne-Montrachet's 1er Cru. It produces full-bodied wines that show their potential from a young age. The vines are 10 years old. Until the 2016 vintage, the wine was bottled at the same time as the Village Cru, but from 2017, it began aging in barrels for the same period as the other 1er Crus. However, while the other 1er Crus use 50% new oak, Champs Gains uses only one-third new oak. The concentrated fruit is sweet and rich, with a good structure.
