(The following is from the importer's materials)
This Vosne-Romanée is made from grapes from three areas, including the vineyards below the Premier Cru Les Chaumes. The vines, with an average age of 50 years, are planted in a clay-limestone and marl soil, which allows the grapes to ripen with a rich, concentrated fruit flavor.
After harvesting and sorting, the grapes are left to macerate for three to four weeks. The proportion of whole-cluster fermentation varies for each vintage. The wines are then aged in new oak barrels, approximately 10% for village wines, approximately 20% for Premier Cru wines, and approximately 30% for Grand Cru wines. Aging in a relatively low proportion of new oak barrels allows the wine to express the characteristics of each terroir and the dense fruitiness of the grapes without adding too much oak aroma to the wine. The Vosne-Romanée wines produced in this way are attractive for their deep fruitiness derived from old vines and their powerful structure, thanks to their firm tannins.

Arnoux Lachaux

A long-established Vosne-Romanée restaurant transformed by reforms

Arnoux Lachot is famous as a prestigious domaine in Vosne Romanée. Since 2015, under the direction of Charles, the 6th generation head of the family, the company has aimed to create ``emotional'' wines, and has been attracting attention both domestically and internationally as a ``shining new star.''

A prestigious Vosne-Romanée family with a history of over 150 years.
Arnoux-Lachaud is a domaine renamed in 2008 by Robert Arnoux, who is famous as a prestigious domaine in Vosne-Romanée. The domaine is located in the southern part of Vosne-Romanée, near Nuits-Saint-Georges.

Founded in 1858, this historic domaine has remained in the same location as a viticulturalist for over 150 years. In addition to Romanée-Saint-Vivant, this historic domaine has four wineries: Clos de Vougeot, Echezeaux, and Latricière-Chambertin. We own approximately 14ha of fields, including two Grand Crus.

Mr. Pascal Lachot, son-in-law of the fourth generation Mr. Robert Arnoux, has been in charge of the fifth generation since his father-in-law passed away in 1995, expanded the cellar in 2005, and added Latriciere Chambertin to the lineup in 2008. In the same year, he changed the name of the domaine to Arnoux Lachot, named after his father-in-law and himself.

Currently leading the winery is Pascal's eldest son, Charles. He joined the domaine in 2012, and in 2015, upon his father's retirement, he was given full responsibility for all operations. We have implemented various reforms such as whole bunch fermentation and stricter field work, and are driving the development of the domaine.
