SINGLE MALT JAPANESE WHISKY SHIZUOKA POT STILL W IMPORTED BARLEY FIRST EDITION

This is the second installment of the W series, which is made up of raw spirits from the W direct-fired still, and is the successor to Prologue W, which was released in 2021.

This is a paired item with "Single Malt Japanese Whisky Shizuoka Pot Still K Pure Japanese Barley First Edition," as the first distillation still and barley are from different regions.

In contrast to "Pot Still K Pure Japanese Barley First Edition," which uses 100% Japanese malted barley, this brew uses only imported malted barley. It combines peated malt from Scotland with malt for German beer (pilsner).

The barley, with its powerful flavor, is further enhanced by the wood-fired direct-fire distiller W. Using thinned wood cut from the forests of Oku-Shizuoka as a heat source, the distillation is carried out at a high temperature of 800°C, a method that is extremely rare even on a global scale.

This item opens gently and gradually becomes more peaty, creating a new Shizuoka flavor.
