Jean-Marie Fourier, the owner of the prestigious Domaine Fourier in Gevrey-Chambertin, acquired 7.5 hectares of vineyards from Domaine Comtes de Chapelle and will be producing this new wine starting in 2022. Jean-Marie Fourier personally cultivates, vinifies, and bottles this Vignes Comtes de Chapelle, following the same winemaking philosophy as Domaine Fourier, minimizing intervention and crafting wines that reflect the terroir.
This wine is made from Chardonnay vines planted in 1989. The grapes are from a small plot of just 0.12 hectares, and up to 20% of the oak is new. It is bottled unfiltered.
Layered aromas of fresh butter, flint, acacia and subtle spices, this lively wine has a firm structure and minerality, exuding elegance and finesse.
