Montevertine is named after the winery. It is made by blending selected Sangiovese with a small amount of Canaiolo and Colorino, and aging it in Slovenian oak for 24 months. The aging and blend ratio would allow it to be called a Chianti Classico Riserva class, but it does not claim that. It is considered a second wine to the flagship Le Pergole Torte, but the owner Martino says, "It's more like a sibling wine than a second wine, but it's not a younger brother either." It has a clear ruby ​​color and a smooth mouthfeel with an elegant taste.
