(The following is from the importer's materials.) The Grand Cru Échézeaux vineyard is located in Flagey-Échézeaux, north of Vosne-Romanée, and is comprised of a variety of slopes, elevations, gradients, and soil types. The plot owned by Arnaud Lachaud is a small parcel with thin topsoil, known as the Rouge du Bas, located on the mid-slope of the Échézeaux. Located at an altitude of approximately 270-280 meters, the east-facing, sunny terroir allows the grapes to ripen with excellent sugar and acidity. After harvest and sorting, the grapes are macerated for 7-11 days. The proportion of whole-cluster fermentation varies with each vintage. The wines are then aged in approximately 10% new oak barrels for the village vineyards, 20% for the Premier Cru vineyards, and 30% for the Grand Cru vineyards. Aging in a relatively low proportion of new oak allows the wine to express the unique characteristics of each terroir and the intense fruitiness of the grapes without over-infusing the oak aromas. The result is a superb Echezeaux that will draw you in with its powerful, dense fruitiness and captivate you with its elegant expression, which combines fine tannins with delicate minerals.

A long-established Vosne-Romanée restaurant transformed by reforms

Arnoux Lachot is famous as a prestigious domaine in Vosne Romanée. Since 2015, under the direction of Charles, the 6th generation head of the family, the company has aimed to create ``emotional'' wines, and has been attracting attention both domestically and internationally as a ``shining new star.''

Arnoux-Rachaud is a domaine renamed in 2008 by Robert Arnoux, who is famous as a prestigious domaine in Vosne-Romanée. The domaine is located in the southern part of Vosne-Romanée, near Nuits-Saint-Georges.



Founded in 1858, this historic domaine has remained in the same location as a viticulturalist for over 150 years.In addition to Romanée-Saint-Vivant, this historic domaine has four wineries: Clos de Vougeot, Echezeaux, and Latricière-Chambertin. We own approximately 14ha of fields, including two Grand Crus.



Mr. Pascal Lachot, son-in-law of the fourth generation Mr. Robert Arnoux, has been in charge of the fifth generation since his father-in-law passed away in 1995, expanded the cellar in 2005, and added Latriciere Chambertin to the lineup in 2008. In the same year, he changed the name of the domaine to Arnoux Lachot, named after his father-in-law and himself.



Currently leading the winery is Pascal's eldest son, Charles. He joined the domaine in 2012, and in 2015, upon his father's retirement, he was given full responsibility for all operations. We have implemented various reforms such as whole bunch fermentation and stricter field work, and are driving the development of the domaine.
