Scrio・Macchiole・2019

Le Macchiole's Scrio 2019 benefits from reductive winemaking aimed at trapping the natural aromas and elegance of this versatile grape. It is fermented in stainless steel and cement tanks, and partly aged in a tonneaux, which is prone to oxidation. The rest is placed in cement tanks and ceramic vessels. With Le Macchiole, you don't get an over-extracted, lean Syrah. Instead, you get a refined, very elegant wine with a taut (slim but lean) mouthfeel and beautifully integrated tannins.
