Messorio Macchiole 2019

Le Macchiole's stunning Messorio 2019 is crafted exclusively from Merlot grapes, culminating in a special 2.5-hectare plot in the classic Bolgheri soil mix, characterized by clay, silt, sandstone, and limestone. The wine is fermented in concrete tanks and aged for 18 months in new barriques. Speaking with owner Cinzia Merli, she acknowledged that this early-ripening grape variety has suffered the most from the effects of climate change. However, the winemaking team has made special efforts to achieve balance and elegance. This beautiful wine offers aromas of cherry, blue flowers, iris root, crushed stone, and slate. Balanced oak tones add power and texture to the full-bodied finish. 11,000 bottles.
