Ripe, fresh sauvage aromas of dark berries and anise. Rich, muscular flavors with great volume and a youthful, austere, long finish with plenty of minerality. In a word, amazing.
Jean Marc Guillon
A domaine that has received high praise from famous wine guide magazines.
Jean-Michel Guyon is a winery based in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin, founded in 1980 on a leased 2.3 ha field. In the 40 years since our founding, we have owned 15 hectares of fields in Gevrey-Chambertin, Marsannay, Fissant, Moret-Saint-Denis, Clos Vougeot, etc., and have worked on more than 20 appellations.
Their winemaking is environmentally friendly, and due to their achievements, they were the first producers in Burgundy to receive HVE certification (Haute Valeur Environnementale = a certification that emphasizes the environmental value of environmental conservation agriculture newly launched by the French Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries). I'm getting it.
The quality of their wine has received high praise all over the world, and in 2020, they were selected as Winemaker of the Year by France's leading wine guide magazine, "Le Guide Hachette des Vins." The winery has been handed over to the second generation, Alexis Guyon, since 2021, and we will continue to keep an eye on it.
