Devils Cask Ⅲ・Bowmore

Bowmore, the "Queen of Islay," was founded in 1779. Located in the heart of the island of Islay off the west coast of Scotland, the Bowmore distillery is well known for its peat and malting processes, which are influenced by the sea breeze. Furthermore, its first warehouse faces the sea directly, at sea level.

This "Devil's Cask" is an ambitious work composed of raw spirits aged in 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry and Pedro Ximnez Sherry casks, and the third installment was bottled at NAS in 2015.
This was a popular series that combined the sweet aroma of dried fruit from sherry casks with Bowmore's house style.
The nose is a treasure trove of aromas: dark, exotic fruits, sultanas, mango and raisins, toffee.
The palate is smooth, lustrous oil, chocolate pastry and salted caramel, and Alba coffee with orange, while the finish is long and lingering, with notes of smoked fruit cake, blood orange and sea salt.
